We are a family owned and operated garden centre and landscape company located in Saugeen Shores Ontario. We were established in 1982 by Linda Gowanlock and have been serving the gardening public for more than 25 years. Linda and her husband Doug have had an interest in horticulture and gardening for many years.

Linda is a graduate of the University of Guelph's Nursery Management program and has also had training in interior design. She is much in demand as a design consultant and has designed many of the yards and gardens you see in Saugeen Shores.

Doug is a long time agriculturist having been involved in agriculture his whole life. He is involved in the day to day operation of the Garden Centre and the Display Gardens. Son Andy supervises the delivery and installation of plant material and landscape work.

Our Mission

We will provide to our customers the best quality plants and garden material obtained from reputable sources and back up that commitment with well trained staff and a shopping experience that is entertaining and interesting for everyone.

Our Community

We are members of Landscape Ontario and support their mission to supply to the gardening public a reliable knowledgeable service backed by involvement in ongoing training and a commitment to environmental and business standards which are beneficial and fair to everyone with whom we have contact. We pride ourselves in our community involvement. Team Beagle Run (our staff) is involved in many community activities such as the Paisley Kinsmen Canoe race each June and Southampton's 150th Heritage Parade. We are also member of the Port Elgin-Southampton Chamber of Commerce.

As a company we believe in giving back to our customers and community.  We supplied the plant material and installation for the Port Elgin Library renovation as our contribution to that project. We also supplied and installed the large trees at the Rotary Skate Park as our contribution to that project. Beagle Run also donates to many other charities and events beneficial to the community at large. We also supported the Bluewater Education Foundation by providing the landscaping and materials for their new residence and teaching facilities at the Outdoor education facility near Oliphant.
